Black Powder Vials on Ebay

I'm diabetic but my test strips are in a circular disc. I don't know any others that test regularly. I don't either but don't tell anyone.

I think my best course is to buy the tubes and make a holder. They aren't expensive.

I used to develop and print my own 35mm film. So I have quite a few of the empty film canisters. I use a few of them to carry premeasured powder charges when I hunt with my ML. I also use a grease pencil to write the weigt of the powder charge. Since the canisters are plastic, you can squeeze them into a spout when you need to reload.

That's what I like about the plastic as opposed to glass. You can squeeze them down and load your .32 if you have to (being charged by a killer squirrel for instance).

I just ran across an Ebay listing for plastic vials and a box for holding charges of black powder. I guess what caught my attention was the description that it was for the Ruger Old Army. I find it somewhat inconvenient to take a can of black powder to the range and measure it each time I load the cylinder. The listing is here:



Has anyone ever used this or anything similar? How did it work?

Never used anything like that. I could see premeasured charges for competition shooting, but for hunting and range time, I just use a powder flask with the correct nozzle. I have one for my revolver and one for my .32 cal squirrel gun.

Those are the ones I bought only a place called Kentucky Bill's sells them (finally found the place!). You get 1- more tube and free shipping is the only difference I see.

I use these tubes. I cut them shorter as I use much less than their 150 gr. capacity I also cut off one cap keeper rubber thread and glued its end cap onto the clear plastic tube.

I went to Hobby Lobby and got the plastic tubes used for storing things like seed beads (jewelry section). Just a little over .5" dia and they can be cut down to whatever charge I want (I'm shooting a rifle, not pistol). I will also put two or three PP bullets ready to load, one with a bunch of veggie wads, etc.

They also have some smaller stuff and glass stuff if you'd rather have that material. I think I remember some small ones that would be perfect for pistol loads.

Got some 7/8 diameter x 1 1/2 tall glass bottles with corks from ebay.
They hold a 150 grains and more.
Got an 8 x 8 steel file card box for a couple of bucks at a goodwill store that I'm fitting out with partitions.

I was able to get small pill containers from my local pharmacy, they work great for me.
