Lol, 1680 on GB WoW! Dont need it that bad

    http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=410666941

3 hours to go and 280$ for 4#!

Looks like some of the new blackout owners are getting desperate to use those fancy cans!
Glad I put together one of those fancy pistol gassed carbines to play with.

Wow, 100$ a pound for a powder that sat on the shelves 4 years ago before the blackout came out. Maybe I can package up some dirt and put it in some old 1680 cans. Think anyone would notice?

As long as it'll cycle the action on an AR.... It would be REAL quiet though..

I don't think I've ever "needed" something that bad.

    Reality dose.

Powder cost per round for 20 grains is $0.29.
    Bullet... say $0.25.
    Primer $0.03.

    $0.57 per reload.

Midway has 300 ACC blackout ammo for sale for $30 for 20 + shipping = at least $1.50/round.

It sucks, but that's the hard reality.

I can't imagine a non-apocalyptic scenario where I would pay $100/ pound for powder unless someone invented a new paradigm of propellant that only needed one grain per round.

So Glad I bought two Jugs from GiBrass about 12 Years ago.
I assembled a 300 from an 80% lower when I did not know how good 1680 is for this cartridge.
I also have figured out why I have so many friends that own 300 blackouts!!!

1680 can be had, it will take a little effort. Came across 4 pounds over the last couple of months and only paid $21.00 a pound. No more coming in behind it but it will be used when I get to it. If using in the .300 Blackout, Little Gun looks very promising and it is showing up again in Western Michigan and will be a regular stock item unlike 1680.

I noticed things were starting to look up now. I still don't see 1680 on the shelves, and not much pops up on gunbot. I have two pistol gassed guns now with one of them being a carbine so I can do subs with just about anything. With the adjustable gas block it does supers just fine too. I am up to 3 blackouts now. One pistol, one carbine gassed carbine, and one pistol gassed carbine. I think I have my basses covered in the blackout.

I bought an 8 pounder of this when I first started reloading. It was for 458 Socom, and works great for that round. What I didn't know was just how far 8 pounds of powder goes especially in a gun I don't shoot much. If I had it to do over again I would have picked a more versatile powder as it has limited applications. Maybe I should get a Blackout to help burn up this powder lol.
