    250Sav Imp with cast.

Interesting results Saturday shooting a .250SavImp with cast RCBS 257-120's. The results of two different powders with all else identical was amazing. The velocity of the two loads were within 12fps of each other(1798 avg.) over (10) shot strings. The SR-4759 shot a 2 1/4" group and the Unique "pattern" was nearly 12", all evenly dispersed. Not sure I will ever understand the theory behind this.

If you get tired of that mold I would like to trade you out of it.

Let me know if you want to try a few? Got any old plain base molds (90-110gr) suitable for use in a 25-35Win or 25-21 Stevens?

SCHUETZENBOOMER--Have you ever tried ReLoder 7 in your .250 Sav IMP? It works very well in my Savage mdl 16 reg .250 sav with the 100g RCBS boolit or the old Cramer 55A, which is also 100g(nominal). I recently obtained a Saeco 25-100g, but haven't tried those yet. I never have been able to get the accuracy required for CBA competition with my RCBS 25-120, but I've hung onto the mould thinking that some day, I may try it in my Rem 700 Mtn Rifle in .25-06. So far that rifle has been relgated to J word bullets exclusively.

    Shuz,

I have some Rx7 and will make notes to try it. Starting to get decent enough weather to shoot up some of the dozens of loads that I have made over the winter. Everything from .22 K-Hornet to .458Win. I also have the RCBS 257-100 and have yet to use it in anything but my .25 Remington Model 14. I shot a (20) shot 6" group with failing eyes and open sights at 80yds last weekend and was happy.

I do. I have two Winchester molds for an 85gn FN. Both have the same cavity but one is HP.
I also have a very early Saco mold for about a 90gn but it is spritzer so for single shot only.
I have quite a few others but al are GC. One is a 130gn fngc for the 25/35
