LEE 175 TC for CZ Tactical Sport in .40 anyone?

    Hey guys,
    I started up using Lyman´s mold #401638, 175gr. TC.

Well, I have tried a bunch of loads with different powders, OALs and so on.
The groups were "ok" (best about 4 inches on 25 meters), but not more, and not good enough for competition.

So I´m looking for a new mold to try what I can do else, and found the LEE 175gr. TC - mold.

    Is someone inhere using it?
    Eventually with the CZ TS?

Any experience or help would be great!

I like that mold, especially in a 6 cavity. I've run a bunch through a CZ Compact in .40 (discontinued now); they shot great. Make sure you're casting/sizing them large enough, your bore may be .401" or larger. Also make sure they're hard enough; the .40 is a high pressure round that I've found to be less accurate with really soft bullets. Air cooled wheel weight alloy should be fine though.

Thanks yondering, i will order one!

Mine has a .400" bore, no probs with casting to small.
Unfortunately there are no more wheel weights from lead over here, but I have pretty good success with range scrap / linotype - 4 / 1.

    Million thanks and best wishes,
    Jay

To give something back to the forum sometimes, because mostly I´m taking.

I´ve tried 10 different factory bullets in my 40 before I went into casting.
The LEE175TC was my third mold in this caliber.

It is by far the cheapest mold of those three, and it is the most precise bullet I´ve ever shot out of this pistol.
I´m very happy that I left my normal routes and bought something "cheap".

    LEE rules (in this case).
