    Accurate Mold: Picture Perfect Boolits

    I got this .44 mold from Tom. The second mold I ordered is on the way!

    Nice mold.

    Not sure I'd call those bullets picture perfect though (judging from the picture). Looks like the driving bands are rounded and uneven on some of them?

    You are correct, the boolits cannot be judged by that pic! It's the picture, not the boolits! It's not apparent from the long-view pics, but it's actually a BB Mold. Additionally, there is a taper on the top band leading to the crimp groove. The poor quality pic (a pox on Kodak) gives the illusion of rounded corners.

    Cool, I hoped that was the case. The left bullet of the pair on the right looks like the middle driving band is rounded on one side but not the other.

    I ordered a 4 cavity from Tom as my first ever custom mold in .44. Cast up a few hundred.



    Quickly ordered another mold and have a third planned. I think photo's of his boolits speak for themselves.
