Any advantage of a 75 grain over normal sized 5.56 rounds?

Also, any reason I should pick a 2 cav over a 6 cav?

This would be my first 5.56 mold.

Are the 4 or 6 cavity in steel also?

    That would be of interest.

I'll probably take a 6 cav... unless there's a reason to go smaller.

    Couple of questions:

    1. What is Shipping for the 2 cavity version?
    2. Will these work in my AR-15 as well as an RCBS 22-055-SP 55 Grain Semi-Point? I have a friend who supplies some to me every so often and they work great at about 2350 FPS with my 1:9 twist barrel. I know it has been asked, but can these stabilize in my 1:9 barrel? I am sizing at .225 right now and that is what I will do with these.

Would like to get a little more self-sufficient and buy my own mold. Also, the extra weight would not hurt either in down range energy.

    Shipping is a flat $6

There are guys pushing this bullet right along in 1-9 twist bores, this bullet was designed for the fast twist AR rifles. It *almost* stabilized in my 1-14 twist 222 Rem

I hope that answered your questions!

Is there anyway to do the same profile in a plain base without lube grooves?

Looks like hornady GC's should be fine - have a ton on hand so just checking with the 'expert' on GC and this boolit.

I'd take 2x 6 cavity if I could get it cut with a plain base and no lube grooves

I'm in for a 2 cavity. Looks like the problems from the first batch were resolved?

Disregard, I'll assume this group buy is closed.

Will 5.56 work with no gas check? I'm all about powder coating.

I haven't tried powder coat, but with Hi-Tek, I've had zero fouling with nonchecked bullets, however the accuracy is crapola, as the bullets I tested all had gas check shanks. I expect a plain base without lube grooves to be much more accurate
