I have bought several 50/50 and 40/60 solder bars from ebay. Some say CA inc, other say National. Another one says Warranted, another says plevy.
Can I trust these to be real 50% lead and 50% tin?

I don't know about the others, but National Lead products are probably what they say they are.

If it's cast into the bar, not stamped, you can trust it. If you have access to an XRF gun then you can verify it's content. Everything else is a WAG.
Agree.......if CAST into the ingots/bars, they more than likely are legit. Most people do not go to the trouble of faking ingot molds!!!!
If written on or engraved or stamped in the ingots.........no guarantees without Xray analysis.
Good luck.......hope you have the real thing!
