    45-45-10 Lube + GC = ?FPS

Just wondering if anyone has shot anything around .30 cal using 45-45-10 lube with a gas check and then second coat of lube. I am aiming for 1400-1500 FPS. This will be for my Mosin for 100yd. plinking and vintage matches.

    Thanks guys,

    Dragon,

I don't load for the Mosin but I shoot lots of other .30 caliber using one coat of 45-45-10 with GC at over 2,000fps with good accuracy and no leading. My understanding based upon reading is that the Mosin probably needs a larger diameter boolit to work. Somebody else on this board will likely answer you better shortly.

the coating type lubes do depend on fit [as do the other types]
anyway 15-1600 fps is nothing, if you have a problem it won't be the lube.

Agreed, I've shot 45-45-10 at 2k, zero issues.

Same here. I use the 45-45-10 on one of my most accurate 30-06 loads and it runs 1750 fps.

I've used 1 coat of 45-45-10 on the RanchDog 165 plain based, air cooled WW, in my 30-06 at around 1400fps with zero leading and great accuracy.

This last target was shot after firing 90 rounds without cleaning.

    Thanks everyone!

I really appreciate the feedback. Now I just need to get a mold and .314 sizer.

great thread, I have been thinking of trying to run my ACWW at around 1900 w 45,-45-10 in my 30-30. I am kind of wondering if i should have water dropped them. they still have another week to cure.

I just started trying the 45-45-10 lube on rifle boolits. A friend sent me some 22 cal boolits already lubed with it. So far, I've shot about 100 of them through my M16a1 clone. Up to 2200 fps so far and no leading. My barrel is completely chrome lined, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

    Now there's no chain.
