    Have you seen this?

I also have a Lyman and Ranchdog in .25 Auto. Sure would be nifty to have a SWC boolit.

Not to mention the Mihec mold might not go up on the cutting block for a long time.
I'm sure you would find a small group of people interested in a 55 dollar 25 auto mold available in weeks, compared to years.

The bold is the problem I have, ordering the cherries and selling 10 molds does not let me break even.

What I am going to do though is see if I can get the other 25 cal molds to work with the 25 AUTO, If I can get one cherry to run double duty as a multi weight design I will as it helps distribute cherry cost over a wider amount of molds.

There is a gap in the smaller calibers...for a reason. The best seller option I see is a .223 Remington mold in the mid 60 grain range. Reality is that the biggest demand, as expected if for "Heavy" .357 Magnum boolit. A compromise between the 180/200 grain range makes sense. I would take anything between 180 to 200 grains.

I plan to make a cherry that I can vary the depth of to make either a 180 or 200 gr boolit, it will help cover more cost.

Thank you, those look very nice. Have you ever considered brass for your blocks? Also, do you expect to delve into cramer, or bar, type hollow point systems?

No I will not do brass as it is too expensive to run, and yes I do plan to do Cramer molds, we have a 32 Ball-et and possibly a few others in the works.

What I would like to see includes anything Loverin, especially sub 30 caliber. A 7mm actually designed to fit a surplus throat such as your 311466 scaled down to .288". Larry Gibson frequently mentions a discontinued RCBS mold that also seems to fit that description. I could go down a list of discontinued Lyman molds I would love to get my hands on.

I understand that 38, 44 and 45 cal pistol molds is where the money is but I can go to Accurate or Mountain Molds and get pretty much anything my little heart desires in those calibers in a fraction of the time any group buy would take.

This is where my preferences lie.

I will see how small my 311466 will go, it is possible (but close) that I could use it as a 287466

Brother Darrell hit the nail on the head here..

A fat & heavy 287466, Lyman 287221 (w/gc) or a longer 7mm "soup can" should be the answer for the 7X57's out there..
The RCBS mold that Darrell refers to is a good one also..
The semi-Loverin style RCBS not their 168 gr. bore rider..

By heavy I mean a bullet that will engrave, and fill the throat and neck of the cartridge case but no more than 175 grs.
You may end up with several diameters ranging from .286 to .290..

My main hope that there is enough 7X57 owners out there that are interested in shooting cast to make it worth your while..

P.S. Is the 8 week waiting period for your 311466 up yet?
    (just kidding)

Like a bunch of little kids, ain't we?

Seems that bullet molds have taken the place of circuses and bread while Rome burns..

Just wondering out loud I guess. What with all the owners of 8mm Mauser`s out there casting for it, why isn`t there a decently made paper patch mould made for it? For that matter I notice there is no mention at all for a grease groove 8mm mold either on the diameter/cal. list here.Robert

The A.C.E. Loverin 311466 in .312", .314" or .316" depending on throat dia. and paper thickness used will make a very good PP bullet for the 8mm..

As for 8mm greasers NOE has enough of those in various weights and styles to choke a horse..
