My mould arrived here in the UK yesterday. I spent the evening degreasing and heat cycling ready for a casting session today.
My experience mirrors goodsteels exactly. I had to break the top edge to get the bases to fill out correctly and from then on it was just a case of speed casting until the mould broke in and the drive bands started filling out correctly. Once the sprue plate turned a pretty shade of blue all was well and the boolits rained down.
Very happy with this mould, only one question though, what size are those tiny grub screws that lock the sprue pivot screws? Are they metric?

What do you mean by "break the top edge"? I am having a great deal of a problem getting my moulds to fill completely. Is this something that I can do?
Assuming that you cleaned your mold completely before hand and are running the right temps. try pressure casting if you are using a Lee bottom pour..
As far as "breaking the top edge" a member by the name of Ben recently showed how to do what you are asking..
Look up his recent posts to see what's being talked about and photos of the same..

I've made the same request twice. One post and one PM, no answer to either. I was wondering why our friends in the UK and Canada were receiving their moulds and I live a couple hundred miles away and haven't heard a peep.
