    LAPUA 308 Win Brass

I just purchased a new lot of 100 cases, Lapua 308 Win brass from Midway USA. This brass is more uniform and concentric than most others. Case necks are also annealed for lots of reloading.

Case neck wall thickness runout measured verygood between .00025 - .00125. I seperated by runout then bagged. Saving the best brass for later.

    Case weight averaged 173gr (172.3 - 174.1)

IMO, Lapua & RWS make the best brass you can buy. For match ammo, it is what I use when I can get it.

Now the question is how many did you buy? Last time I bought some was from Sinclair International and I bought 500 if them and then I bought 300 of the Palma cases with the small primer pocket.

Lapua is, in my opinion, the best brass out there. Not cheap, but I have yet to have a case split or otherwise have to be discarded. The cases seem a little thicker than most but the uniformity is beyond reproach. My CZ550 Varminter .308 regularly shoots 1/4 MOA with it.

Now you know why Lapua brass is used almost exclusively in precision rifle shooting competition.
