    Go to Harbor Freight, buy a PC kit, buy all the red powder they have in stock, then spend a rainy day reading the stickies.

    Pretty much what he said. There's no one way to do it, but most of them work pretty good. I don't know if anybody does it exactly 1-2-3 step by step from the start. It evolved a lot during the writing of the stickies and is still evolving.
    Get some powder and a toaster oven and pick your favorite way to get the powder on some boolits and start learning.... and teaching as well!

    PC= Powder Coat.

    Get this:

    http://www.harborfreight.com/10-30-p...tem-94244.html

    And a pound of 'red' powder from Harbor Freight, and an air compressor, and a toaster oven, and get started.

    This is the method I use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaIPCtomJn4

    Hope this helps. I've used a couple different powders. Your success rate relies heavily on the quality of your powder. Read the sticky about which powders work and what doesn't or you'll be shooting in the dark.

    Got some Red and Yellow from HF today. Going to try the tumble method first. Now to find my old toaster oven and see if it still works.

    The "Coatings and Alternatives" section doesn't have a dedicated "How To" sticky but a lot of "How I Do It" threads. A lot of the threads are discussions on how some do it, and how others do it, and even more how I did it. Lots of reading and most of it is pertinent (plus some "How Not to Do It" threads)...

    BTW; most users can't get colors other than red to tumble coat worth a darn. I can't and Ive tried yellow and black, from HF and other vendors, but red is the only one that works when dry tumbling for me.

    The Harbor Freight red seems to be the easiest color to coat with and the hardest one to find in stock.
    Rumors abound about it being discontinued. Rumors are usually worth the paper they are printed on. Screen images don't count.

    Just a though, but I am sure it has been tried. When using the shake and bake method, how about using those non-stick cookie sheets or trays to place the bullets on?

    Took awhile but found a answer in the (archives) There was only one post by a member but he said it worked great for the shake and bake way of applying.
