Value of 310 tools & dies

I have some 310 handles & 4 die sets I am thinking of selling. I would like to sell as one lot. I need some input on the value. Thanks. JerryW

It really depends on the die caliber, steel or aluminum handles, large or small. 45-70, 45 colt, 30-30, 38-55 in in demand, handles and dies usually bring in the neighborhood of &100. Lots sell for less than individual items, like aluminum handles usually go for around $40 to 45, I bought a set of handles with a complete set of 222 dies for $40. Steel handles in "desirable" calibers bring a little more. Some discontinued dies are not popular, like the 222 dies I've got, you cant give them away. This has just been my experience, I hope people in here can give you better news

Nope, I agree with Raingage. We really need more information on exactly what you have, generic handles that take dies or specific caliber handles that are older? Condition also matters greatly.

there is a 44 magnum, 38/357, 30-06 & I think a 32-20 die sets Both handles are aluminum. JerryW

My guess is you are talking about a large handle set for the 30-06 and maybe the 32-20 and a small handle set for the 44 and 38 dies (and maybe the 32-20.) As others have stated, you will probably get more for them as separate sales, and everything except perhaps the '06 should sell fairly easily individually. Your group lot is not so large as to discourage any of the folks trying to assemble a good set of tools or add to what they have, so you may be successful at selling the whole kit and caboodle. If you do decide to break it up, you could probably sell the '06 dies and the big handles together, the small handles with the 44 and 38 dies, and then sell the 32-20 dies to me!

Another 310 value question. I assume they are the small size, aluminum handles with a .308 bullet sizing die, and 359 top punch. Dates back to my very beginning of handloading in the late 60's loading 30 Carbine with a lee loader, and cast bullets from a Lyman 311359 mold.
