    $17 two tubes alox lube....OUCH!

Oh well, I must be desperate......Ordered two tubes of alox lube (Lee) from "Midway.....Rounded-up to the nearest dollar for the NRA fund...Even through I'm Life member .......
Nearest gun store.. Cabelas, 30 miles one way. Gun show is where I bought my last batch from......

You should've gone in on wiljen's group buy for a gallon of Alox. Or ordered a quart from Lars.

Ricochet beat me to it, I was going to say to buy it from one of our members, Lar45.

Link right at the bottom of the page:

    http://www.lsstuff.com/lube/index.html

Cancel your Midway order and get 3 - 4 times as much for the same money.

Yep, Lars, Bullshop. or make your own Felix Lube. Any of these choices will give you a MUCH better deal!

Ditto the above, Glenn Larsens the man for lube.

Great kit at a great price.

I don't recall who is the maker of White Label 2500+ lube, but I bought 5 sticks for something like $15 delivered and it is good stuff. I learned about it on this forum.
My rifles seem to be cleaner after firing 50 shots than they were when I started.

I printed the order form from White Label Lube--I think that is Lar45? I notice that he has XLOX is that the same as Lee's ALOX? Just a different spelling? I might order a quart of it also...BCB

I bought a gallon for my RD moulds and found my personal preference is to use my lubrisizer as it works just as well. If you are in NY around Saratoga you can have it if you come and get it.

Yes, his Xlox is the same Alox 606-55 that Lee sells as "Liquid Alox." Lubrizol, the manufacturer, for some reason (likely contractual with Lee) wouldn't allow him to advertise it using the name "Alox."

Lars is where I'm sending my mext check for lube. He sent a free sample of his carnuba red and I was well pleased with it. Liked it more than the stuff I concocted!

Lars' Carnauba Red is terrific lube at a great price! Is now all I use for rifles and pistols.

    GREAT stuff!

Another vote for Lars Red. KCSO gave me a couple of sticks last year and I sure liked it. He also sells some that doesn't need a heater. That's what I got the last time i ordered, but it's easy to heat the regular stuff; I just lay the wife's hair dryer next to my Lyman 45 and give it 10 minutes.

If you are willing to do a little scrounging for an old pot and a whisk you can make two pounds of 50/50 beeswax lithium grease lube for that $17. Works through a sizer with no heater and is cheap and repeatable.
