    Freechex III gas check maker?

So, I was sniffing around for info about making gas checks, and found some videos about a Freechex III tool. Looks purty nifty.

Anybody here have any reviews to offer? Can it be used in a Lee Classic Turret Press set for single-stage mode?

    Thanks!

Freechex III gas check maker IS NOT designed to be used with a conventional reloading press.

It is designed to work with an Arbor press.

I have one and tried it on a reloading press.... No, it is way too hard to do that... I went to Harbor Freight and got me an arbor press and I can crank them out.

The Arbor press cost 50% of the FC III.

Again, the FC III isn't designed to work with a conventional reloading press.

I'll probably end up just buying them from someone here that makes them.

I have the FreechexII GC maker in a no. of calibers. I use a plastic mallet and can make what I need quickly. I bought them about five years ago and back then each cost roughly what a box of Hornady GC's cost today. I shoot .22, .243, 7mm, .30, 8mm .375 rifle calibers as well as .38, .41, & .44 pistol calibers. From all my tests they are just as good as copper factory made gas checks. I have found that GC bullets are slightly more accurate than PB...probably because the base on them is smooth and flat. No real hassle to add GCs to bullets IMHO.
