My rule is, when loading for a rifle if there is any doubt gas check the projectile. I use so many that I make my own so they are almost free.

As usual the answer is "it depends".... What caliber are you planning on shooting it in? What velocity do you wish to achieve?

For me, I ordered a plain base mold as I only plan on shooting this in my 300BLK at subsonic velocities in my AR, which is really what it was designed for. A gas check won't be needed in my case. If you are planning on shooting it in something else at high velocity then a GC would be/ could be warranted. I personally don't want the GC for another reason as well. I'll shoot this through a suppressor and don't want to take the chance that the GC could possibly come off in the suppressor and gum up the works. JMHO

The velocity you choose for your "good hunting load" will determine wheather or not you need a GC. AGAIN when in doubt us a GC.

I just searched through these pages and found that the last time MiHec closed a group buy was on 9/26. He closed 3 on 9/26 and 9/27 and called for PayPal payment on 11/9 on all three. Is he MIA or am I missing something?

I do not look for how long it takes to close a buy, I do not look for when he calls for payment.
I do not even look for the mold after payment, I have 11 of his molds.
I look at how good the boolits look when I use the mold.
I sometimes wish I could shake his hand, I do not see that happening soon.

LOL. Not everyone has Red333's patience and philosophical outlook. Some of us figure that as paying customers we're entitled to getting the products we're committed to paying for in a reasonable amount of time, and that even the courtesies of routine customer service, such as an occasional update or rough ETA, are not too much to ask. To each his own, I suppose.

Ipijohn, you are missing some things. Four group buys were closed on October 14. The most recent call for payment went out December 2nd. The closings (but not the last call for payment) were captured on my tracking spreadsheet which was last updated November 9th, and I'll update again at the start of January.

Miha is very much present and accounted for.

I have 2 payment requests I will be paying for today. One is 12/2 and the other from 11/20. The buys happen and I have lost count how many I own. Patience will get you there with them and worth the wait in my experience.

BTW the last mold I received from him was billed on 11-9. So I guess if you are in enough of his group buys you will see it moving along at times
