Savage bolt gun in 7.62x39

Ranch Dog ruined my day when he said he was backing off on the 7.62x39 for various reasons because I was just starting to think the 7.62x39 was really almost perfect for cast in a bolt, shows what little I know!

Thanks guys,appreciate the info. Will be looking for either a savage or the CZ527. Someone a long time back did rebarrel one of the sako small actions which had been a ppc or samd head size as the 7.62x39 and from memory was a very accurate rifle. Course that rifle has been discontinued a long time now. And I have a pile of IMI 7.62x39 brass.Frank

Centerfire Systems has a Yugo bolt action in 7.62x39 in regular and full stock configuration in stock.

I stopped at Williams Gun Sight store about a month back with the singlre thought of getting a 7.62x39 bolt gun by Savage. The counter man went thru his computer lists of all manfacturers they carry, including Savage. All he could pull up was the CZ 527, Savage had nothing listed. Of course he would have had to order the CZ in and that may be 3-4 weeks and the price almost gave me a seizure. I thanked him and left. So does Savage make this rifle and what is the model and name they have on it?Robert
