A.C.E. 300 BLK subsonic boolit

Ok, we have here a boolit loosely based off of the Lee 309-230-5R, ours has a normal size bore ride and no goofy boat tail. The nose shape is a 5.68R to work with the mag rib and we have a radiused .097 meplat for reliable feeding.

B.C. is a very high .540 much better than I thought it would be, using my program this boolit WILL stabalize in a 1-10 twist when pushed to 1800 FPS.





Now for the particulars, based on cherry lead time the sign up will be ~6 weeks then 2 weeks till delivery, this is fluid as we are dependant on the cherry being delivered on time.

6 Cavity only

PB and GC I will mix the two 3pb/3gc for additional $10

I also offer a powder coat option, this will cut .002 smaller than shown.

Would you post a Pick of one of your manufactured 4-6 cavity molds ( any caliber you make is fine) .. Interested in seeing how the locating pins are placed & mated to opposite side .. plus the spew plate

yes I do .. I read somewhere at you have setscrews on the locating pins to help lock them in place is that correct ?
Like the looks of the venting and of course the 6 cavitys should make a pile of bullets in a real hurry

It was/is that was our first mold and it was a learning curve, some of our mold blocks have the RCBS style pins and once they are gone we will have the one pictured, that is our final design.

What velocity for a 1-8 twist? This is an 8" barrel.

Roger Ronas, I plan on running this boolit out of my 300blk 8 twist 16in barrel at about 1000-1050fps. Don't know how slow it can go and still be stable though. I do know the "parent" Lee boolit stabilizes at 1Kfps +-. Do a search for JBM ballistic calculator and you can find out.
