Anyone know the real content of this old babbitt made by National Lead? I found it in an old engineering handbook, but it says just tin and antimony, which would leave me to believe it may have been for rejuvenating linotype. You know, up out of the ashes! Unscientific testing, bashing it against babbitts I have of known hardness, indicates it's harder than 26BHN and appears pretty grainy.
