Nice BD gift. Bigted; Great little sights, but mine always seem to loosen up. Any tricks to keeping them tight with out stripping the threads. Compared to your caliber I have them on 22LR, 45Auto and 223AI.

WGRS from Williams. Good sight where you set it and forget it.

I've wanted to do the same for my encore. I can't decide between the williams or the x s sight system. Congrats on the new rifle.

OEM mounting screw holes on the barrel. Might use longer screws, though...

comes with a set of mounting screws.

I always put some blue 'locktight' on the threads of anything I mount on the exterior of any weapon. seems like maybe an overkill but you only have to have a sight go stupid once and trace it back to the lose mounting screws and you will always remember to use the 'blue stuff'.

I like this sight so much ... I really wish they would make an exact one for my marlin levers.

I use the 'green stuff' on my gear. Loctite 290 post assembly medium grade wicking thread locker. Good stuff.

I had one of those on my 250/3000 Encore barrel but decided I needed a peep with more elevation so changed to the other Williams peep. Either way I love a peep with CB's.

FWIW, Williams makes a WGRS for the Marlin 336/1895 - the WGRS-336 - which will also fit an 1894, with a bit of rearward hang over, unless the forward set (2) of scope mount prep holes are used ILO the rear set.

Their WGRS-54 will fit most RF rifles with scope mounting grooves on the receiver.
