Here's what I've done so far.

The pistol bullets were Cool Whip shake and bake and the rifle bullet was done in the tumbler a few weeks ago. Like bangerjim has mentioned several times, the Cool Whip container method produces a far superior coating than the vibratory tumbler method. My coating was a little thick (dumped out of the bag faster than I anticipated) but it's a smooth, even coating nonetheless.

Others can answer better than myself but I think it has to do with limited colors at Harbor Freight.

Well for one not everyone of us have a harbor freight that sells any of the PC stuff. Two the only color that people seem to get good results with is HF Red. Also, and keep in mind I have no experience with this as I only have a lb of PBTP and a lb of All Powder, I've heard others report a much better coat with the expensive stuff compared to HF Red even. Granted in the end it might not matter much, but at the same time I've also heard people reporting better accuracy with some powders over others.

Do you expand the case mouth or set them on the base?

And about the Kawasaki or zombie green, I think I would prefer that polymer tip they use in hollow points stuffed in a black boolit.

Looks to me like he set the gas check shank in the case mouth.

naw, i just use a rcbs deburring tool to clean the tops for a good grounding. also the 17's work better than the 22's. the 22's and 17 wmr's work great for just about any of the rifle calibers. but not so good for pistols. i still use non-stick aluminum foil on a flat plate for them.

How bad do these smell when they're cooking?

Trying to figure out if I can sneak em into the wis stove.... Or if it would behoove me to by a toaster oven and we that.

DO NOT USE YOUR HOME OVEN FOR COOKING THESE. the fumes are dangerous and it can poison food later on. also your wife may kill you. fair warning.

best to just buy a $15 oven from walmart and use it out in the shop or outside.

For > $100, it's worth getting your own personal toaster oven.

Get the $40 convection from walmart. Anything non-electric is going to be a total crapshot as to whether you get even heating throughout the oven. Even heat is definitely critical to properly curing PC.
