Hey! I just figured out what those bullets beside the posts mean!

It only took me 3 years, but i learned how to get the life member NRA banner on the same day! lolz. FWIW- grey bullets = 1000 posts, gold bullets are 5000 posts. What else am I missing?

Well, that's awesome man. I am slowly padding my post count right now.

No, it takes 5 posts to piece together enough tidbits to understand what he meant.

Run is frugal with words. Those few words do tend to have much meaning though and it is well worth the effort to understand what he means.

Like he said though, post count means less than what is said.

So every time we post it adds up toward a boolit. Seems like I'm going to have to start posting more cause I could use some more boolits.

[QUOTE=Artful; As Uncle Joe Stalin said "Quantity has a quality all its own"[/QUOTE

One of my favorite quotes! true in war, and likely in other endeavors. here, on castboolits, Prolific posters do enjoy instant avatar/name recognition. And, with so much exposure, we get a feel for their personalities. This adds to the unique "home town" atmosphere of the site.

What of the rest of us? The average 1 to 1000 post guys. How do we "fit in" and not be a wallflower? That is were quality enters the picture. one wonderful, insightful, cool post can make a low volume guy memorable.

I guess what I am saying is that a lot of the best stuff on the site is written by part time posters, Its appreciated by me, and is a huge reason I'm here. Jay
