    Hi...

Went on another LGS circuit trip today after work.
Most of the shops were closed by 5:00PM...must be the Easter holiday.

Did find a pound of Titegroup at one shop for $20.99 at one of the few shops that were open.

Don't know if that is a good deal or not...I never tried Titegroup before.

I'll put together some test loads in a few cartridges after I study some reloading manuals.

I also looked real hard at a Dillon 650...the base price was $566 and change.
I keep going back and forth between the 650 and a Hornady LNL AP.

Can't seem to make my mind up.

I suspect one day soon, I'll just buy one or the other and solve my dilemma. I have never been so torn on a decision in my life. I think the main sticking point is that the cost of case feeders, bullet feeders and caliber conversions is so expensive that the fear of not being happy with whichever one I buy is nearly overwhelming.

My son and I are going to learn and use this equipment side-by-side and it is important that the one I buy works for both of us. He is left handed and that presents issues that are not readily apparent to those of the right handed persuasion. Nothing insurmountable, but if he is uncomfortable operating the press, I fear he will get frustrated and not want to use it.

    375:
look at the Dillon 550. seriously.... I prefer them to the 650, and the hand movements are super similar to my ponsess warren shot-shell loaders.
which means I have a consistent rhythmic movement between a bunch of presses, so my muscle memory is almost auto-matic going from one to another.
for a lefty it's not bad at all as you seat the bullet and advance the cases around left handed.
with a case feeder all he would have to do is pull the handle with his right hand.

oh you'll like the titegroup in several cases, just don't confine it to a small area.

    ahh another day another post.
grabbed a couple pounds of green-dot, 800-x, and H-414 today.
there is a bunch of different rifle powders on the shelves including rl-7, 335, 4895, rl-15 type stuff.
prices look to be stabilizing about 4-5 bucks a pound higher on many of the powders.

    persistence pays off.
I happened to be in the area today and stopped back into the same shop.
[they always say they get their shipments in on thurs or fri]
but they had some different powders out on the shelf today, plus more of the same from yesterday.
I snagged an 8lber of unique, 2 more of the green-dot, and [GASP!!!] 2 pounds of 2400.
I wouldn't have even seen the 2400 as it was back on the shelf a bit half behind some AR-COMP.
the wife spotted it from the other side and pointed it out.

I shoulda grabbed some more 800-x but i thought I had part of a 4lb can somewhere.
I musta used it all and didn't make note of it.

A local sporting store got in 12 lbs of 2400. I got 2 and my wife went in and got another 2. 24.50 each with tax. First I've seen in almost 2 years. The drought might be ending.

this one might be coming to a slow down but there is a long way to go to it ending.

I stood there contemplating the 8 lb jug of unique for at least 20 minutes then remembered Hillary might be our next president.
I would feel a whole lot more comfortable with double the red-dot and 2400 I have on hand right now.
but I'm gonna start adding some rifle powders to the pile, it might not be RL-19 which I would prefer, but it'll sure be something dang useful like H-322, 3031, or 4064.
they might not be perfect or give the best velocity, but they'll darn sure keep my
    223, x57, 30-30, and 0-6 family of cartridges shooting.

3031 and 4064 is what I am doing. Your thinking like I am on this. Like Unique and Red Dot they may not be the best powders for every application but will work in a bunch of them.

I just bought 4lbs. of 2400 at Natchezss for $18.74/lb. A very happy man I am. I've been trying to find some for the past year and had all but given up.

I also picked up 2lbs. of 4227 two days ago at the LGS.

The old Ruger will be eatin' good for a while.

Bought out a retired friend with some health issues. Everything including Dillons, shotgun stuff and all powder and accessories, I'm kinda set now.soon as he lets go of his guns he doesn't want or need I guess I'll help him out some more. Probably never live long enough to use it all up, but I will try my best! All the surplus stuff right now is being used to bring new shooters and boolit casters on board.
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!
