1.5 pounds of 4759. Pound of Benchmark and H335 also since the price was right.
Came across another pound of 4759 price wasn't great but I bought it anyway.
Best friend gave me some H110. That gets my powder purchases caught up.
The supply is excellent everywhere I go, that tells me cost will come down and or we will see some specials. If I don't need it, I will just buy deals. I am very pleased I can use this approach again for a few years.
8 pound jug of Unique and 8 pound jug of W231.

Only bummer was I wanted Federal primers but hard to find the powder and primers I want in stock at the same vender.
Is it true that Powder Valley is raising their prices. I don't have FB so I can't see any of their posts. I read it on a reliable forum, not a member there, and was wondering if they put out a statement regarding price increases.
After waiting for 3+ years I scored 5 lb of Trail Boss today, I will not need to buy any powder now for years! Woo Hoo!

Nearly went into shock.... Bought Unique, 231, 748 and Trail Boss in the same store on the same day, and all at my favorite LGS. And.....left a bunch laying there. He's overloaded with some great powders right now. Heaven!!!

The local Gander Mountain had HP-38, Unique, Bullseye, and Red Dot in stock. I left it there as I am good on power, but man was it nice to see!!
One # of Varget and 1 # of 4895, lgs has lots of powder, so different than 2-3 yrs ago.
Gun show I saw a (cross my heart and pinky swear) 8# jug of Varget for $180 and some Unique, 2400 in 1# jugs along with Red Dot, and some bigger jugs of H110.
I had promised my dear wife that I was only after some dies and a 4 hole turret plate, and maybe some ammo cans if I could find them. So plastic thingy stayed in pocket and I only spent cash I brought with me. Did find a couple of .223 magazines for a mini-14 cheap enough that I just bought them. Cost less than a soda pop and pretzel from the vendor.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.
Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.

For powder in Houston,Texas area try 10 Ring they get powder in on a regular bases. You can get on an E-Mail list where the send an E-Mail indicating what powders they have in inventory.
10 Ring is where I usually purchase powder.
Was looking for a LB of W296 and at the second store found a 8lb keg. When I did the quick math (with my phone of course) it was marked at 2 dollars more a LB than the single pounders. Of course they were also out of single lb's. I mentioned to the salesman that it was a little weird that the 8lb keg was more expensive than buying single pounders. He said hold on I will see what I can do on that 8lb. I haven't had any luck with decent prices at this particular store so I didn't hold my breath waiting for a price. Low and behold he dropped 40 bucks off the price and I got the keg for 179.00 (plus tax of course). I think it was a decent deal, either way I have enough 296 for about 4000 300BO rounds!

During my Christmas trip to the big city. I stopped by the local Cabela's to look there componants over. I haven't been in any LGS since the election. Was I amazed at all of the powder and primers on the shelf. Previously they may have had 1 or 2 bottles if any of what was supposed to be on the shelf. And primers there mite have been 2K of whatever they had, and they only had half of the variety of brands and style.
The same display that was half empty was now completely filled. The primer area had probably 30 times what was there on my last visit.
Why after the election should shelves be filled?
Last Saturday I stumbled onto a sealed 8 lb. jug of IMR Sr-4759. Took it home for $120. The new year has started out great.
