Does anyone know if Graybear's site is down?

I wasn't sure where to post this but I was trying to post something about my single shot Handi-Rifle that I did with it but can't get on the site now. Oops! Graybeard I mean. Must have gotten up before breakfast again!

it is again today, and was yesterday as well. They have been doing server reconstruction surgery the last 2 weeks.
    Maybe the patient died?

Maybe if they quit serving up so many ads it would work better. That site is more annoying than anything else out there that is gun related, so I don't bother much any more. There is far more useful conversation here.

Ditto. Plus the people who own the site are a bunch of control freaks with so many rules it takes a Philadelphia lawyer to make sense of them all. Certainly their prerogative, after all, but it turns me off.

Years ago I was a member there. Was inactive for a year or so, came back and found myself banned and kicked off. Never did find out what I did while I was gone!

Yep, same here. I just figured that they threw me out because I didn't post.

I stopped using the site when they lambasted someone for just mentioning an appropriate thread on another site. I see enough paranoia at work and don't need it for fun.

They used to have a decent site with a lot of useful information but not so much any longer.

I was banned from there three or four times. Last time, I was having a discussion with Veral Smith on testing lubes in different weather conditions. We were just getting a methodology established, and I found myself removed. Hey, I can take a hint!
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
