ill give him a shout thanks man!
Is the .432 measurement the size the bullet should drop when using ww or is it a size that would be appropriate for sizing to .432? Thanks for answering a newbie's question. This looks like a great bullet for my future Ruger Bisley flattop.
So what happened here ? did this mould buy get jinxed at 12 moulds ?
or is everyone waiting till the last day ??
I am almost on board on this buy, but I really need to know how they would feed in a 1894 marlin 44. That is the only 44 mag that I have and I really dont see me getting a hand cannon in the near future. I dont have a mold for the 44 yet. Come to think about it, I haven't shot it yet. I did some trading for a 35 remington a few months ago and this gun has sat in the safe since. I had a H&R in 44 that I also traded away.
The bullet is a copy of the speer 240gr. [ pg 1 ] so it should feed in a marlin no problem. I am picking this one up to shoot in my Browning 92 in 44 mag and others..
The reason this is cloned from the Speer 240 grain flat nose is that it feeds well in a Ruger 44 Mag carbine. That being said, I opted to keep the weight the same (or nearly so) as the Speer bullet. Technically, the bullet design is slightly shorter than the Speer bullet. If I had some of these on hand, I'd check it in my Rossi lever gun, but alas I do not. When I designed the bullet, I tried to keep the nose length and the approximate over all length the same as the Speer bullet as well as the weight. Basically, what I have drawn is as close to an exact copy of the Speer bullet as I could get for a cast bullet.
I do have a semi-wadcutter that has the same length from crimp to nose end and essentially the same diameter nose that will feed correctly in my 44 Rossi and my Ruger carbine. I hope this helps.
