    Early Phelps Sizer?

    Hi

Got this in a deal, not sure I want to hang on to it....but, it may be a good candidate for motorized.

Any ideas if this is Early Star/Phelps?

That is a very, very, very early Star sizer. If you look at the patent drawings for the Star sizer, you will see that it resembles your machine. Does it have a Patent number, or does it say Patent Pending?

I took it off Swap and Sell. Lots of lookers no takers.

I heated it up and found Magma Blue and with Magma Green on top. Pushed it all out....

After it was cleaned up....including the piston with brass seal, I put White Label 2500 in it...and tried to size some boolits.

I have to compare how the pump works vs. two others I have....I think it may be weak.

Otherwise it is solid, looks like it is not a PAT Pending base. Looks like a weld up job to the large sand cast base.

Once I get a few boolits out of it, I will post it again for sale. It is very vintage looking. It would match p nicely on a bench with other old Star Equip,.

I dont know how to service the pump, but will figure it out.

    Hi,
I have this older STAR one that I bought for $5.00! It didn't work for the seller but 10 min. of clean up and tuning and it works perfectly for me and now resizes/lubes my 45 ACP boolits!

It looks a lot like mine. There is, or was, a brass tag riveted to the frame base that says it is a Hollywood. Unless the base is a replacement for some unknown reason.

some nice old sizers for sure....

I would like to sell this one , but I paid too much for it. I paid 250 for it.

I would like to get most of my money out of it....but would be willing to take a loss just to unload it.
