So my buddy calls me up and tells me he lost the handle to his Lee pot....

....and asked if I could make him a new one.
Why yes. Yes I can. Would you like that in a spitzer or a FP? .875 caliber OK?
    Good.

    LOL! Just havin some fun.
But seriously, you fellers with a brand new lathe want to try out your new pride and joy on something that is WIDE OPEN FOR INTERPRETATION, give one of these a try!
All you need to know is that the thread is a standard American 8-32 thread. Use a #29 tap drill (.136) This is nothing special, just a standard HSS drill bit in #29 size. Drill the hole about 1/2" deep and then chase it with the tap.
    Enjoy!

I made three of them while I was at it. It sure was fun showing them to folks, or just leaving them in plain sight and watching for the reaction. LOL!
    They'd say:
    Holy %^&*!!! What is that!

New caliber I'm working on. Should take care of anything.

What the $%^& do you need that for?!?!?

Haven't you heard? Bigfoot is real! Gotta be prepared. Not only that, but Elephants can be turned into zombies too, and if that happens......they can swim.

I wished real bad that I had a piece of 1" copper so that I could make a giant gas check for these babies. That, and some colored epoxy to simulate lube really would have topped these babies off nicely.
    Oh well.

Tim that is an awesome idea. Sell the idea to RCBS. Tell them to get it quick or you just might sell it to Lyman!

That extra weight should stop the drip.

Make them out of stainless, and they will always have that "freshly dropped" gleam ya know?

Sorry, missed that! Must have been blinded by that shiny stainless! Don't have any 416 so will have to put up with some common 304!
    Thanks Tim.

Tim, not being a machinist, I grabbed the heaviest brass knob I could find at the big box store. It's already threaded 8-32 and heavy enough to eliminate the need for washers as offered in another thread.
