    New Lee .380 Mold

Lee has announced their new TL356-95-RF mold in both 2 cavity (#90601) and 6 cavity (#90672) offerings. From what I can see in pictures the Lee is a clone of the original Ranch Dog TL358-100-RF .380 boolit. Both the Lee and RD patterns have the same nose profile, carry 2 TL grooves, and are plain base. They differ in claimed weight by 5 grains possibly from a reduced stated diameter. The Lee blocks should follow their traditional pricing as a factory offering. As with many handloading products one may have to wait for Lee's production to catch up with demand. Anyone who missed out on the purchase of an original RD mold can now capture a new Lee product. Since Lee is going commercial with this RD profile, will any others follow? Some people may have already seen this announcement but as it is new and exciting to me I had to share the discovery.

I'll be very interested in the the 6 cavity mold when it is available. I was on Lee's web site showing the new products where it is listed. I see they got smart and started putting together Ultimate Die Sets. I've been doing this for years, I just have had to purchase the Deluxe Die set then add the other dies to it.

If this works as well as the RD version, it will be a humdinger. My 380's get a regular diet of these over WW-231.

I bought this mold from Titan (I think) a few weeks ago. See this thread for comments.

My wifes 380 uses the same RD boolit with RD under it, she loves it. Hope the new boolit mold design works out as there are alot of folks wanting to cast for the 380acp. Its also great Lee is going to offer the 6 cavity as its a must for anyone who shoots 100~200 rounds a month in there 380.

Hope people remember to buy 45/45/10 once they get there new mold, this stuff works great on RD design see no reason why it wouldn't work great on the new design.

I love the RD mold. Shoots great in everything we've tried it in.
I never tried 45/45/10. I just run them thru the lube sizer.

Has anyone tried the TL356-95-RF in a Walther PK380?

What suppliers might be stocking this mold?

Could an owner provide the cast boolit OAL as well as distance from nose of the bullet to the first lube groove or nose to top edge of the first driving band? Thanks

EDIT: Looking for info like shown in the Ranchdog version.

I measured some of mine from the new Lee design and the measurements are right there with the Ranch Dog print. The length of the bullet is a hair shorter at .407"-.409" long.
