    A.C.E. 7.62x54R Hunter

Here is a design that I have been kicking around for the many Mosins out there, it is a 203 gr flat nose that would make a great hunting boolit. The check will be flush with the base if crimped into the top grease groove or will be just inside the case if you seat deeper to the top drive band, this design also lends itself to seating at the second drive band for worn throats. When seated to it's normal depth the OAL should ride right at 2.780.

The only thing I see we may want to do is make the bands .316, I kept the grease grooves deep so they can be sized down to .311-.312 and still hold plenty of lube for those long barrels. Let me know what you think as my first buy is headed to a close and I am looking to start another.

Definitely needs .316 driving bands. What price and expected delivery date?

I really like the concept. Should the driving bands be even larger? I size my boolits to .319 for my mosins their grooves run .316 to .318. Are you interested in making sizing dies between
.315 and .320. I finally had a .319 custom made and would like to get some other sizes.

I was also thinking about making this an 8mm mold so long as the numbers lend to doing so, .316 driving bands are easy to do. I am not sure about going larger, it may be best to look at the 8mm mold.

I will not be making sizer dies as Buckshot (mod here) makes them and I could never compete with his price and quality.

The numbers lend themselves to making a regular bullet, a .320 bullet, and a .325 bullet.

do you guys needs drawings of each boolit?

This is a 110-120 dollar mold if getting a 6 cavity, smaller molds will be less. I will get the mold running as soon as I have 15 people willing to buy.

    I would be interested in a .325 in GC/PB.

Who would like to see this as a Cramer option? Delivery date is 6 weeks after I get 15 people, non HP molds would run $125 and Cramers a little bit above that.

All 6 cavities HP or 1/2 an 1/2???? With the wide range of bores on the Mosin, I think it is going to be hard to offer just one or two sizes. I think the 0.314" is on of the doable ones. Then maybe a 0.316" for the larger ones.

One thing, are you going to cut the shank for alum check use or copper. The aluminum checks I have do not want to stay on for the molds made for the Mosin as the makers never take into account for the ones like myself that use aluminum checks. I get really weird groups sometimes and I think it is because the checks are coming off sometimes.

The whole mold can be HP if you want with blank pins for solids. I planned on making this .316, it would allow anyone to size down to .313 or so.

I will cut the shank like a standard .311 mold which if my noodle serves me is .284 I have had no issues with my aluminum checks at this size.
