    Springfield XD-S in 9mm

    Hello all, noob here.
My wife shoots an XD-S in 9mm, and was wondering if anyone else has experience casting/shooting for this particular model.

I have done searches and found zip. A few threads for the .45 version, but not the 9mm.

I plan on eventually casting for her sidearm as well as for my Taurus 1911. I scored 600 pounds of WW which sorted to 450 of COWW and 45 of SOWW and the rest Zn and Fe.

Any input on the XD-S would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what you are looking for.

I cast and load for mine. Lee 356-120-TC cast with range scrap, sized to .358, and the only lube I've used with 9mm so far has been BAC. No surprises and nothing special for the XDs9. I have run the same loads in a XDm 5.25, Kimber Solo, and a Kimber Aegis.

Not a 9mm, but I have shot two of the 45s, my brother's and a friend's, and found both to be accurate and reliable. Love the FO sight. The only drawback, at least in the 45, is the tank tread checkering on the grip. Extended firing sessions get uncomfortable, but it shouldn't be a problem with the 9. Even if it is, there are ways around it.

That is exactly what I wanted to hear! Thanks so much. I have been trying to figure out what the best mold and sizing die would be for that XD-S in 9mm. With all the nightmare stories I have heard about casting for a 9mm, I was wondering what I was getting myself into.

    Thanks Again!

I have run a bunch of Lee 358105's through my XD9SC with no problems.
