I only wish to receive one target per shooter so if you send me one this early in the match it must be pretty good Feel free to post pics of "progress" targets if you wish.

Things are looking good. I think list of shooters is current for everyone that has posted with conformation. If I missed anyone let me know.

    28 confirmed shooters
    14 donated prizes
    2 drawings

Much thanks to those that have donated prizes and bullets. Do be sure to check out the vendors page for all those that contributed.

It's going to be a heck of a good time!

All shooters in need of bullets have been assigned a supplier. Please contact that member for your one 50 count pack of bullets. Shooters, make the supplier of your bullets proud! Thank you to those of you donating the bullets. Try to get them out to the shooters as soon as possible.

    Good shooting!

I would be interested in shooting but I have never swaged a jacketed bullet. If anyone would like to send me a pack of their 22 cal home swaged bullets I could trade you some of my cast bullets or some brass.

PM me if you are interested. Thanks!

Happy to contribute to the prize list. Received bullets from BT Sniper and they look as good or better than store bought! Will try to get a load worked up this weekend and share my results.

We are up to 15 donated prizes and an additional prize for the drawing. There are now three prizes for the drawing which will get a prize to three shooters no matter what their score.

Be sure to check out the first three posts of this thread for all details and be sure to check out vendor's pages for all those gracious enough to donate prizes for our shoot.

Check out the latest donated prize for the drawing.

Our local vendor 1in9 twist http://castboolits.gunloads.com/foru...ne-Fabrication has donated a great looking mount for our reloading presses. Mount is available for many different presses!

Well shot my first target today. Not bad considering I had a fair amount of wind- started out at about10-15 but by the time I put up the second target it was blowing 20 25. I shot one round on the second an knew it was useless to continue. Scored 81 with 1.698", 1.668" groups. Going to seat the next load out some to get the bullets closer to the lans which should shrink the groups. Definately going to wait for a nice calm day as well.

I received my bullets from Mustang today!

These are the first bullets I have seen in person that were swaged from 22 LR brass. It looks like he used Remington 22LR brass. I am impressed with the quality of these bullets. I will load up my first group of loads Sunday for the match.

I am going to try these 60 grain 0.224" bullets out of my 223 BLR. The barrel doesn't say what twist rate but I'm guessing 1-12". I shoot great groups with 50 grain V-Max.

Thanks again Mustang. I'll be sending you some of my 320 grain Lee REAL boolits for your 50 cal.

I feel like it's XMAS !!! Half the fun is wrapping the packages!!!!

    Hi Brian,

I will be shipping out the prizes tomorrow.... I did a photo essay of the steps in the process. Like I say in the title, I feel like it's XMAS!!! And half the fun is wrapping the packages, so I thought I'd share my cell phone pictures of the process! And to everyone else who is competing, I wish you the best of luck and have fun!

Sorry for the blurrr. Did not have my Nikon at the ready! Stick-on ingots.

I did not take a picture of the box after it was sealed up, but it is taped quite good all the way around with the strapping tape.

And moving on to the .223 brass. Did not need heavy duty taping job.

Interior box corners protected with folded cardboard; purpose is to minimize shifting of the inner boxes. Not too bad for this package, but a shift of an inner box filled with 50+lb can do serious damage to the USPS Flat Rate box (they are not that strong).

The gift is ready to go; it has company: 50+lb box of lead. So, they can nestle together this evening!

Nice. I'm obviously going to have to ship AFTER the results, as I need the desired caliber of the brass.

I shot my first target yesterday, 7 out of ten actually hit the 8 1/2X11 sheet of paper at 100 yards.

    I had a 2 1/2 inch group last week.
Still have several weeks to fiddle around............

one more week of work and I'll be off for a bit, if the weather cooperates, I'll be at the range many times in February I have more of the bullets (that you gave me Brian) loaded into 223 from Last year, than I recall...must be 75 or so

    I know the feeling.

I managed to get my reloading benches into the basement yesterday, in hopes that I could get prepared to load up after finishing the test loads from last year (and I need to load 5-6 rounds that were 'wasted' last year in nasty weather).
But... the cold weather is a bit of a non-motivator. The best range for me to test these loads at, is in the bottom of a river gorge, between two sweeping plains. When the wind isn't ripping through there, you have all of the cold air settling in the bottom. So, it's 30-45 mph winds, or -2F to -10F.
