    PC for revolver round balls

OK, had a thought for black powder revolver round balls. I've been using either a lubed wad under the ball, or a dab of grease over the ball. What about powder coating? Seating would still shave a lead ring, and presumably a sliver of PC as well. Would the remaining PC seal the ball in the cylinder, preventing a chain-fire? Thoughts?

Yes will still need lube for powder fouling.
Pc'ing the ball to eliminate leading will work.

I load powder, wonder wads then PC'd round balls and my Pietta shoots better/more accurate than most of my smokeless guns.

Had trouble with the rb's rolling off my silicone covered trays, when placing in my oven, so ordered some large silicone o'rings to keep them in place. Have powdered coated some #8 bird shot the same way to use in my 45acp snake loads. The graphite needs to be washed off if using coated shot. I use the cheap rubbing alcohol for washing the shot.

I have seen lots of different sizes of mini cube trays that might work.

I went cheap with a sheet of wadded aluminum foil. When you smooth it out, the little divots hold the round balls in place.
