I like Unique at the 7-8 range. (.41's or .44's)

I like HS-6 for a bit more thump.

I found 800X to give more recoil per the work done in my .44's than HS-6 or 2400.

When I go up the power ladder from HS-6 ..... I go straight to 2400 and adjust accordingly.

800X is going to my shotshell endeavors now.

"Skeeter's Load" (7.5 grains of Unique) for the 44 Special/240 grain SWC works well for me in the 41 Magnum using Lyman #410032. It runs about 825 FPS. I just finished a run of about 600 41's with 9.0 grains of Herco and that same boolit. In the 6.5" Blackhawk, it ran 950 FPS--in a friend's M-57 x 4", it goes just under 900 FPS. An all-day load, for sure.
