What kind of reloading stool or chair?

I know a lot of people stand, but my reloading room & benches is also my small man cave. What do you folks rest your hinnies on when you are working around the bench? My benches are 41", I'm about 5,10". I'm thinking something swivel, padded seat, padded back kinda thing. I'm having trouble finding anything that suits me and don't cost a fortune.

Wood bar type stool. Or folding chair. Kind of hard to use though.

I purposely built my bench to be the correct height for a regular bar type stool as it was about the right height for standing as well. I usually start out on the stool and it lasts for maybe five minutes. Then I stand the rest of the time.

    Hi...

I use a leather office chair with rollers.
A lot of my reloading work is also done standing up. but with a bad back it is just easier sometimes to sit, especially when sorting brass, cleaning primer pockets, etc.

The chair was cheap, practically brand new and found at a yard sale that an office of some sort was having. I bought two of these chairs and a really nice all wood desk for my wife's home office for around $100 total, IIRC.

I am using a table I built for heavy work that has adjustable legs for height. I went this route for the purpose of deciding how tall to build a future bench.

I would have to go out to my cave and measure it ........ but needless to say, it's high enough that a tall stool is better for some chores and some are OK to do seated at a regular chair. I can also stand for some operations.

It seems like an adjustable stool would be useful?

I use a wheeled, swivel office chair. My reloading bench is an old folding banquet table, and I have a second one for a general purpose bench. The chair sits between them on a piece of plywood on the floor, so I can scoot back and forth between the two benches. Works great for me.

I cast standing, but reload seated. I recently bought a chair at Staples that is padded, swivels and is somewhat adjustable for height. I'm sure you could find a chair on their site that would suit your requirements.

I think I want a couple of bar stool type chairs. I'm just using a cheap kitchen chair now, but I spend my off time back here watching netflix, hanging out here, surrounded by all kinds of things that go bang. My benches are made from 2x6's with nails fired into the concrete walls. Tornado may get the house, but my loading equipment isn't going anywhere.

I built my new bench the same height as my desk, which is across the room from the bench. I use a standard office chair. I can swivel and roll across the small room from one to the other.

You need a stool tall enough to work easily on the top of your bench.

This means that the height of the stool must be determined after you have your bench and press mounted.

It Really needs to swivel - Unfortunately mine doesn't

It really needs to have wheels to scoot from one side of the bench to another. Unfortunately mine doesn't.

I haven't found anything I like well enough to pay money for for less than 100$

I have no idea who made it, but mine is an old "That 70's Show" orange swivel chair that is adjustable for height.

................ prefer to stand, I built my loading table so its comfortable standing. I do have a padded stool that is at a comfortable height , but seldom use it. Now when I'm loading primer tubes or examining or hand priming Cases I sit in a padded high back Office chair. So, I find it easier to just stand while reloading. Bench height is imperative.

I also have two dillons among other preses, but I like the fact that I can"look down" from above the presses for inspecting or for possible issues that can arise. I also like to be able to observe charged (powder charges)cases as well from time to time.
