So I got a air kit for my sizer. You obviously have to remove the screw on pressure cap from the threaded rod. The directions online say that you have to "knock off the retaining washer from the end of the screw."

Uhm...knock off? Like with a hammer?

Never mind. That turned out to be a non-event. All I had to do is hold the handle in a vice and turn the cap with some vice grips and it popped the washer right off.

It's good to use heat to get this unstuck.... a cheap heat gun is a good tool (It'll also warm the sizer lube too!)

I just held the cap with a channel lock pliers and unscrewed the rod. The washer popped off then the rod came out.
