Has anyone tried paper patching the .35 Remington H&R yet with BP?
Has anyone tried paper patching the .35 Remington H&R yet with BP?
Whats the point of shooting bp in a 35 remington? Seems like a waste of time ro me since you would get better performance with smokeless and less fauling.

Howdy !
While I've not tried PP .35Rem in an H & R, I have tried swaged .35 calibre 195 SPBTs... " patched " w/ Dymo label maker tape; in my M-336 XLR .35Rem.
I'm also shooting these w/ IMR 4759..... a smokeless BP substitute.
I did briefly try BP in a M-336 .35 Rem many, many years ago. I was unimpressed w/ the available " power " ( those bullets were NOT patched ).
FWIW -
I've also tried " Trailboss " in .35Rem. With my XLR, I can fill the .35 Rem case completely full of " Trailboss ", some 14.5gr; and chamber pressures stay just fine
( when shooting Rem 150PSP boolits ). This is a very mild ( " reduced " feeling ) load, with not a whole bunch of oomph.
Best of luck in your endeavors !
