    Range Report: SR 4759 in 223

    This is the first test using SR 4759 in my SLYM 223.
    H&R SLYM 223
    LYMAN 225415
    GRAPHLOX
    1/2" X 1" X 3/8" LOFT DACRON
    SR 4759
    SMALL MAGNUM RIFLE PRIMERS
    5 SHOTS PER GROUP, 50 YDS.

    Jim you got to be in 22LR velocity range with that, probably more like between that and the 22mag, should kill a coon though

    thanks for the info jim. I was inspired by your tests with red dot and have begun extensive testing with green dot in the 223 using the lee 225438 (though I may switch to the 225107). I am using a 10" inch TC Contender with a 4x Simmons EER scope. Here is a sneak peek:

    Jim i use 10 grs. of SR-4759 under thinly jacketed 55 gr bullets and use small pistol primer with good luck they are safe at the low pressures and ignite the powder well.
    When I think back on all the **** I learned in high school it's a wonder I can think at all ! And then my lack of education hasn't hurt me none I can read the writing on the wall.
