    Remington 700 BDL .222

I ran across a Remington 700 BDL in .222 Remington caliber...what a find since it was a vault queen and never been shot! I wanted one of those years ago in the 40X-BR but didn't have the coins then and now that I do they're no longer made. That's why I jumped on this deal. One of the top most accurate cartridges ever and easy to reload for. I'm most happy about finding it.

I have on order a Weaver T36X scope just waiting to be mounted.

I envy you since I sold my old Sako L46 .222 rem years ago! Best of the .22 centerfires!

I know the 6PPC is suppose to be the reigning king of bench rest but to me the .222 always will be. I think it still holds some records.

Nice find- I've got one just like it with a Leupold VX11 6x18 on it. It shoots very nice.

Its not a bad scope for the 222. A guy had it for sale as new in the box for $300 is the main reason I purchased it. It has a target turret which I like. New ones have gotten kind of pricey. Other Leupold scopes I have and really like are the M8s with PA in 7.5x-8x-10x- and 12x. Those old scopes are really hard to beat for color and image quality.

Another one I looked at was the VX-3 6.5-20x. The VX-6 models are a bit out of my range. If I were going to pay those prices I think I'd pay a bit more for a March.

The VX-3 6.5-20x and VX-6 are really nice but out of my price range since I'm retired. I do have a VX111 1.75-6 on my AR which is crystal clear with good colors. Another one I bought used as new in the box.

I'm retired also but have no wife, kids, grand kids to take my money so.... It's a matter of whether I want to spend a certain amount or not.

Dad had one when I was about 8yr. old. Loved to shoot that rifle. He popped a ground hog at about 225 yd one day from the back porch. Split its head right down the middle. Only caliber I liked just as well was the remington 17 cal., nothing more than a 222 necked down to 17. both shot pretty flat.
