In old school body work what was the type of lead used? I'm working on a old truck and it has old lead work on it and was just curious.

That is auto body lead which is normally a 70-30 split of lead to tin or 80-20. It is very soft stuff.
If you are talking about lead filling for dents. The last I saw was 70% Lead and 30% Tin. Hope this helps.
I got about 100lbs of that stuff from a guy who found me via a craigslist ad. Everything I've been able to find is that it is 70/30 Pb/Sn. Not as rich for other things but still 30% tin.
Thanks guys this is good to know.
