Stevens/Savage Model-15 A Single Shot Bolt Action .22 Cal. Rifle. This was when I was 15 in 1986, it was $30 and I'm guessing it is 1930's-ish vintage? I still have it, been to Alaska and back with me, and currently is in the next room over from me as I type.

First gun was a Hopkins & Allen Minuteman flintlock long rifle that I built from a kit. My second one was a Hopkins and Allen Heritage under-hammer muzzleloader, and was also my first deer rifle, though I never got to kill one with it. My first real deer rifle was a Ruger #1 in .243 Win, and I killed several deer with it before finally changing to a Remington 700 Classic in 7mm Express (.280 Rem). When you learn to hunt with a single shot, you learn to make your first shot count! Now I'm back to a Ruger #1 in .280 Remington.

My first was a daisy bb gun, I can still remember the day my dad gave it to me for Christmas and the freedom to shoot at will and do what I wished, But if I got caught shooting birds, cats ,dogs or any other thing I wasn't supposed to that he'd put in the vise and bend it in half for me.
I Did Not ask him if he meant it.

Ithaca M-49. Christmas present from my Dad about 1972 or 73. Still have it and shoot it regularly. Great little gun that I wouldn't part with for the world.

My first gun was a 22 lr Remington bolt action rifle with the tube missing so I could only load it single shot.
My first shot gun was a single barrel stevens 12 gauge. I had to use a bolt or a horse weed to knock the spent shell out of it after shooting it.
