I don't remember the name of the gun but it had a plastic stock on it,it kicked so hard that it hurt to shoot it.I put some # 4 shot in the stock and it started to bust the sock at once, took the shot out and gave it back to my wife's uncle, told him what had happened he said that he never shot the gun and put it back on the wall and later a fire took care of the old gun.

I have one in twenty ga. from Sears and it looks just like yours. I do believe it was made by Winchester as the model 37.

That is NOT a 37. Winchester 37 has a very unique hammer which is located BEHIND the opening lever.
The model 37 is worth considerably more than the 370 or 37A. Big difference between the 37 and the other 2.

digger 44: Yes you are right. After looking at mine again, mine has the foward hammer but still could be made by Winchester. I had written a thread about mine a few months ago and someone said that it probably was a winchester, I also needed a butt stock. I ended up making one for it. It turned out ok but the comb is too high. It will work for inside the house protection. The barrel has been cut off to 18 1/2". I keep buck shot handy for it.
