October 2013 Photo Submission *Topic: Items/tools unique to reloading cast boolits

    Octobrr 2013 Photo topic:
Items/tools unique to reloading cast boolits

I'm thinking anything used on a cast boolit after it's been cast and up to when it's shot down the barrel. I'd hope to see lots of participation, since there are some many things we have that are ONLY used for reloading cast boolits. a few examples are Gas check installing tools, Sizers, Pan lubing equip. Custom Dies and case expanders, ...including (at the request of another member) equip for powdercoating cast boolits. There are tons more examples...Do some thinking, try to post something no one else has posted yet

Feel free to comment in this Submission thread.
    Have fun,
    Jon

This is what I take to the range to load and load with.
Dunno why people think I'm strange or twisted
( I think I'm suppose to load up a bunch to test before I get there to find out if my lasted offerings will appease the shooting gods.)

    From left to right.
Home made decapper from a rusty side cutter. (If I had pliars I'd do a re capper on it but got the irrits with it.)

Mequon 30-30 primer tool ..have the loader as well.

Adjustable powder measure out of bolt nut and case.

When I found me load I use the chopped off black powder measure.

311466 cast and wrapped with paper. New to me should go well.

30-30 case with a ring in the neck made with a pipe cutter. loaded. The case is just reprimed and patched bullet seats down on the cannelure groove?? by finger pressure. only shot 60 times so I don't know how long it will last. (Accuracy not to bad ...working on it)Never clean case just wipe over. Re- lengthened once.

There you are... some of my normal "weird" stuff I suppose.

I think this might be appropriate for Items/tools unique to reloading cast boolits, especially for those that have golden boolits near their handle.

Here's a casting pot I use sometimes instead of the Lee, it can get hot.

Red, that's cool. I made one similar to it but used 5/16" brass tubing and inserted a coiled piece of wire for the auger effect.

Thanks Gear, loading a 25 ACP case is a bit of a pain, this makes it so much easier.

Tim, if you just want to make it for the fun of it, I'm sure you can come up with something cool...

If you don't have a trickler, I'll send you one...

Not as fancy as a pill bottle and the base is a bit light. may have to add some weight ..but works

About time I changed from tapping a dipper to a so-fista-me-cated trickler.
    Thanks for the inspireation

Years ago, after borrowing a buddy's RCBS powder trickler, and finding out the cost, I decided to make one out of a piece of stainless steel bar. It works great. of course, it helps if you work in a machine shop and have access to the various machines.

Ok, I really want to apologize. I was going to do the pill bottle thing, but I couldn't help myself. I........just.........couldn't.........help it!!!!
Seriously, you guys stomp me on ingenuity, so dont take it like I'm putting you down or anything. I'm just a classic case of a man with a big hammer, considering every problem to be a nail.

    Tim, that thing is gorgeous!!!

I might need to add one of those to my collection...

But I'm thinking with your time involved, it would get pretty pricey...

Not that it wouldn't be worth it!
