    375 Holland & Holland Magnum.

anyone got a good load for the H&H 375 with a cast boolit?

Just got a ruger No. 1 in stainless and before I order a bunch of stuff I wanted the groups collective experience with this 1st.

Gun came with RCBS 2 die set and 25 pcs new Win brass.

near as I can tell on the end of the barrel calipers say 377
so should I size to 377 with this gun or other?
    lyman is only listing 375,377,378,379

also any powder loads for the cast pellets
was looking to get the Lee 2-Cavity Bullet Mold 379-250-RF 375 Winchester, 38-55 WCF (379 Diameter) 250 Grain Flat Nose.

Any and all input is welcome.

    I

Then if it worked out ok get a RCBS or SACO mold.

    Hello root.
I've got a Brno ZKK 602 in .375 H&H that I developped loads for. I use N.O.E mould (378 275 gr FN GC). The bore of my rifle has been measured at .376 so I use a .377 sizer. A good load is 24,7 gr of Vihtavuori N110 with dacron filler and standard primer. Results are 1541 fps with 1,3" accuracy at 100 meters.

I would slug the barrel to make sure. that way, you can find out both the bore diameter and groove diameter. Normally, for a cast boolit you want to go .002 larger than groove diameter.

Have fun with your 375, I am casting for a 375 Ruger. I went with a heavy for caliber bullet as is my modus operandi .

Data from Hodgdon will work just fine. I use many different powders in my 375 H&H. It's a very easy cartridge to load.

You should do a search, a couple of guys have success with boolits up to around 2200 fps. I think Larry Gibson was one of them.

A fellow in upper Wa state did quite a few articles for the Cast Bullet Assoc. Fouling Shot magazine on his 375 #1 10 or more years back.I dont have them on CD but another member of the CBA should bea ble to get you copies. He killed quite a bit of game with it.
