Has anyone mounted an akro bin to catch their bullets? I'd kind of like something like a Dillon bracket....
Thanks,
Doug

I milled out a lip .1" on a 1/4" aluminum bar that I then screwed to the front of my bench. It works well.
I had a scrap piece of 1/8" thick steel that I mounted on the front of my bench with a few washers behind it. It works well.
Picked up some u shaped extruded aluminum at a hardware store.

Sounds too easy. Maybe I should get the bin first and get a handle on this. It's been a while since I've had a dillon, I just recall that set up and it seems like it worked well.
Thanks guys,
Doug
You can pick up the Akro bins at most hardware stores and big box building supply stores. I did like the others and made a mount for the front of my bench to hang the bin on. My Star machines are mounted on 10" square pieces of 1.5" thick plywood (two 3/4" glued together) and clamped to the bench when I need them. The bin is mounted where the bullets fall out of the Star.
Hope this helps.

All of my smaller equipment is mounted to a finished 3/4" thick oak board. I then C-clamp to my bench when needed and can be removed for storage.
I mounted a 1/8" piece of flat steel to the front of this oak base. It is spaced out with some small washers between the steel and oak for the back lip of the bin to hang.

I use a Lee loaded round catcher. It is easy and cheap.
I get akro bins for 2.50 each. buy in bulk, they make great storage and organizing bins when combined with hangers for them on the wall.

Works out to be $2.15 each.
Cheese, that is great. I can see that this could work for several things on my bench.

I mounted a pull out shelf under the bench and set a pan under the sizer to catch boolits. Doubles and triples for other duties.
Thats a good deal.
I have been using the 30230 size ones, I wish that they were $2.15 each.

They're even cheaper at zorotool.com: http://www.zorotools.com/s/q-akro%20...0bins/hits-90/
Orders over $50.00 have free shipping, and this is where I order my tumbling media, too.
Hope this helps.

I pick mine up at Menard's and at Ace Hardware about 2.50 each
Watch Menard's, I find them every few months with there "rebate" promo. They have bins very similar to Akro's but a cheaper knock off but they hang the same and stack OK. On sale you can get typically get them for around $0.50 a piece or less.
I use them around the reloading bench and shop.
