    Trailboss Bottle Size

I just noticed that 3rd Generation has 140 bottles of Trailboss in. The bottles are $12.99 but only have 9oz. Is this because it is very fluffy and does not take much to fill the case?

That is correct, it looks like mini-cheerios.

huh..they have a ton of 2400 also. Maybe I should get several of each. I just got a 45Colt Rossi and was thinking of trying something different from the Unique, 2400 and Promo I have on hand.

Bullseye is very nice in 45 colt. I've had very good results with AA#5 from mild to wild. Just offering up alternatives.

I really haven't started experimenting much with it yet. Just some Unique. I have Unique, 2400, W296/H110, Universal, Bullseye, Promo that will work in it. I was wondering about reduced loads with Trail Boss as I have read a great deal about it. Thanks for the replies

I got some a couple years ago, and thought I was buying a "pound" but it was less, I thought around 12 ounces, but it could have been 9 ounces. Regardless, it is "fluffy." In the end, I'm a dedicated Unique fan-boy.

It comes in 9 ounce bottles. It meters well for me in my Dillon. Nice powderpuff loads. I use a bunch in my 357/41/45LC. It is meant for cast boolits and is great for plinking. I love it

Trailboss is great! I used it to load 9X19 Makarov bullets in my 9.3x62. Works well in the 45 colt also, but I too preferred unique.

The flakes of Trail Boss are larger than Unique flakes, but for some reason it meters easier than Unique.

I love Tailboss. Use it in 32 H&R mag, 41RemMag plinking load, 45 Colt, and 45-70!

Trailboss is great for mouse fart loads. You don't have to use very much so 9oz will last a bit.

I just wish I could find some to try! All the shops I've been to in my area say it goes pretty fast when they get it in . . . and most can't say when their next shipment will be. If I could find some, I'd stock up on it.

I use more Trailboss in my 45-70 and 45 Colt than any other powder. I find it accurate and great for plinking/target loads. It is especially good in 45 Colt cowboy loads also.

Trail Boss, great powder. A little dirtier than most but meters great and very accurate!

Here in Oz, where this stuff is actually made, the smallest "jug" we can buy is 1.5 kgs, or 3.3 lbs! That goes a LONG way!

I've sold 1/3 of my jug and still have a few years supply left.

I shoot more trail boss in pistol target loads than all other powders combined. One of my favorites.
