First time casting with LEE GB molds....

Its still pretty hot down here in S. Texas but I couldnt wait any longer to try out a couple of these molds...

I tried the 32 semi wadcutter GB mold that my pal Lloyd Smale sent me and a 44K mold that I was able to buy from one of the board members. I also tried a ballisticast 41 mold that Lloyd sent me to try....

The ballisticast remains the finest mold I have ever cast from. Dropped perfect bullets from the first cast to the last....

The 32 mold also cast amazingly well. No problems to report with it. Lloyd tells me it wouldnt shoot in any of his 32's....I have several, will size some and give it a try.

The 44 mold was brand new. It dropped wrinkley looking bullets for quite a while then seemed to come into its own. The bullets look fine. They measure about .437 and seem pretty round.......The rear locater pin did try to work itself out on me, but quit after a bit....

All in all, I am satisfied with what I see so far and am looking forward to shooting these and casting some more with the GB molds I have coming. Production was impressive even tho I quit after casting just less than 20 lbs due to the heat!

If you think they're bad here, come over to the singleactions website!

But be warned: If you have a weakness for really nice single actions, 2 dogs will cost you a lot of money!
