Looks like you found a good load there - does it do that well with different loads/boolits?

Different boolits will shoot well. It also likes the 125 grain cast lead over W231.
It will do about one inch at one 100 yards with the 160 gr GC boolit over 2400 with a the scope set at 4X.

What is that heavy bullet / mould?

How do you think the Ranch Dog design now being offered by NOE would shoot and feed? It's a 175 grainer in the group buys area now.

Congrats on the 1" group at 100. I'd be very happy with that.

That is an Accurate Molds 160L FPGC mold. They are sized at .359. It feeds just fine and my Ruger seems to prefer it. A friend of mine had this mold and I tried it over 2400 and got good results to the point that I ordered my own.
I looked at the NOE bullet and it looks like it should feed okay to me.
There are two Things with the Ruger 77/.357 that I don't like. The main thing is the flimsy stock. The other is the trigger pull. These two things to me are a detriment to consistent accuracy. This is a hard rifle to shoot for groups because of the flimsy stock and trigger pull. I plan on replacing the stock and getting a trigger job done as soon as the finances permit it.

Good review. Maybe you can fit it with another Ruger laminated stock

Will you guys stop buying up all the Rugers. The Australian importer has 17 on back order with none coming.

I'm sure it will be worth the wait

I WANTED a blue steel 77 in .223 but couldn't find one. I had to go with stainless and the all weather stock as a back up.

I've heard that with the 357 & 44/77 both are greatly improved by firelapping, but you seem to have very nice groups as is.

Mine loved the RNFP and WFN boolits. Lee 125-RNFP over 5.5 gr of unique was very accurate, and could be shot all day with nary an issue. Some days I look back and wish I hadn't sold that rifle...
