    Jim, just discovered your thread.

My thoughts and prayers for Janet's recovery and for your strength to support her. I became familiar with Lyme disease some 46 years ago when a friend was, I believe one of the first people in SoCal to be diagnosed with it.

You and Janet hang in there.

    Jim,
So sorry to hear of this. Janet and you are in our prayers, and I'm sure the meds will do their job. I always enjoyed talking with you and Janet in chat, and I for one, miss you guys. Take care.

Jim, Thoughts out to you and Janet. Be sure to ask the Doctor if they ran a test for Bartonella. My daughter has been battling lymes and Bartonella for almost 4 years. She's been on 4 or 5 different antibiotics and regimens. On for two weeks, off for 2 weeks, on for two weeks etc. They discovered that she also had Bartonella, also spread by ticks. She's slowly feeling better a day at a time but still has a long road. They figure she had it for 7-10 years before the correct diagnosis was made. Very lucky you caught it early. RD

Jim, this may be mostly a "guys forum" but we're all family here. My prayers for Janet to recover fully and for you to stay in good shape to be her anchor during this time. I know from my own minor medical issues how many people here are good folks who will stand with you when needed. Let me know if I can do anything to help you guys out.

Jim & Janet, this may help you get through this trouble.

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

yes! good idea - she actually ran that one on Monday along with Babesiosis since that can also be spread by ticks. both, thankfully, were negative. Am feeling some better but still need my noon nap!

Hopes and prayers for best for Janet. I have had many strong negative words to say about the imported fire ant, but I believe they have decimated the tick and chigger population here (So Cent Texas) I am in the woods/ pasture daily, haven't had a tick or chigger in years. (Oh,Oh--look out tomorrow!)

    Big surprise for Janet

Yesterday, Janet received an unexpected delivery. A member here sent her a nice bouquet of pink and purple tulips.

Coincidentally, that just happens to be her favorite flower AND colors. 'Course, I have no idea how the sender knew that.

She was thrilled. When she read the note with the flowers, she started 'raining'. All the responses and wishes for quick recovery and now this. Y'all mean a lot to Janet. Thanks.
