Thanks! That is Corbin's VLD tips.

I just got word my hydraulic press is ready for shipment. Should really make it a lot easier to make these big bullets.

Did you have to point form in a couple steps or all at once. Pretty impressive for using one of the smaller presses!

Point form....... first pass took the nose to .250, second pass seated the Corbin VLD tip.

    Thanks

So would the cast boolit press be big enough to make these and a 6S bullet?

    Dies

    Howdy,
Just wondering if you are still planning on offering swagging dies for the 50 bmg?
    Thanks, Dean

Sweet, what do you think they will run? Thinking of using a Rockcliffe if I can come to terms with Richard. Dean

Depends on how much tooling one requires for the exact bullet they wish to make. I still need to price out the options.

As far as frangible, you used to be able to buy a die to form a point on a magnum belted case. I used to use 350 rem mag brass (when it was cheap and available--wish I had them back!!), but understand you can use belted mag cases and turn the belt off. Fill the cut-off case with #9 shot and form the point and maybe put a bit of hot glue on the end of the hollow point.
They were supposed to turn a coyote into a red mist.

The Rockcliffe press is not the same as Walnut Hill correct? I am about to order one but do not want to have to back out the decap rod and re-adjust every case.

Also are shell adapters available to swage and reload regular rifle with the Rockcliffe?

I don't know of anyone here operating the Rockcliffe press yet. So unfortunately you are asking the wrong person. I hope to pick on up some day but don't have one yet. Richard is the man to ask.

Oh! From the press description it says he made and designed it specifically with the 50 BMG in mind so I would hope it is good to go in all aspects but again I don't know?
